PERSONAL INFORMATION AND EDUCATION HISTORY

A' Levels Art (A), English Literature (A) and Media Studies (B). Graduated from Norwich School of Art and Design with BAHons 1st class and a commendation for studio work. Also completed various short training courses including Photoshop, Digital Photography, Studio Lighting, Dreamweaver and Quark Xpress at Norwich Arts Centre and Zoom In Photography Centre, Clapham, London. Completed a business-training course at NEAT. A professional artist, photographer, teacher and graphic designer. Teaches digital image-making processes, photography and beginner animation courses. Able to work quickly and creatively to specific and individual requirements. Works well within a team with years of experience in this area.

PERSONAL CONTEMPORARY PRACTICE

Co-curated and exhibited photographs at the John Innes Centre (JIC) in Norwich. February 2005. Also designed the flyers.

Exhibited photographs entitled, Textiles in Spain, in an exhibition in South Norfolk. Summer 2005.

Organised an exhibition featuring the work made by children and adults with Asperger Syndrome. September 2005.

Taught digital photography and Photoshop to ex-offenders (beginners) for the WEA in Norwich. November 2005.

Photographed and designed an advertising campaign for a vintage clothing shop in Norwich. September 2005.

Fashion shoot and art work for an advertising campaign for a ladies clothing shop in Norwich and Colchester. October 2005.

Exhibited an image entitled Empty Plates in a local exhibition called 25; a collection of work by female artists. April 2006.

Exhibited two images in an exhibition in Basingstoke entitled The Women's Art Fair, an exhibition featuring work solely by women. April 2006.

Worked as an Art Therapist for children with Asperger Syndrome and their siblings. September 2003 - September 2006.

Commissioned for the exhibition Against The Grain at The Norwich Arts Centre. I stayed in a commune and documented their lives. Displayed 12 pieces of work. March 2007.

Taught a landscape photography workshop at the Castle Museum, Norwich. March 2007.

Taught Digital Photography, Graphic Design and Creative Writing at Omnia, a therapeutic community for people with long-term Mental Health issues. Nov 2006 - May 2008.

Taught at Norwich School of Art and Design. I lectured, gave tutorials, gave talks on my work and ran a short photography course. 2006 - 2008.

Have run many workshops aimed at children for Norwich Arts Centre. We combined photography with Photoshop skills and made them fun using face paints and dressing up. Ongoing.

Taught a children's workshop concerning creating an identity in photographs at The Sainsbury Centre, Norwich. May 2007.

Creative practitioner. A tutor for children at North Walsham school, Norfolk. Worked with another tutor, Jeremy Webb teaching photography and Photoshop for Creative Partnerships. Feb 2009 and will teach a two day course again in June 2009. We also taught a workshop for teachers to help them with Photoshop and will again in June.
